Rome
Companies in Rome trust Pickr for recruiting intelligence
Pickr gives recruitment agencies and in-house hiring teams in Rome a scored shortlist in minutes, structured interviews for every role, and match reasoning you can explain to a client or a board.
Rome is where Italy's public administration, the headquarters of its largest state-controlled groups in energy, telecoms, aerospace and defense, the United Nations food agencies, a wide diplomatic community, a pharmaceutical belt across Lazio, several large university hospitals and a year-round tourism and hospitality sector all hire from the same pool. Add a film and media industry, consulting and IT services firms that serve the public sector, and a startup scene that grows as public services and large groups digitize. Whoever wants to hire a software engineer, a regulatory affairs specialist or a project manager with public-sector experience is competing with employers that have far more visibility and often much longer lead times.
The hard part is rarely a shortage of applications. It is selection and speed. Rome's talent pool is large and well educated, strong in engineering, law, economics and life sciences, with an unusual number of bilingual profiles shaped by the international organizations and embassies. That breadth turns screening into slow manual work. Notice periods set by national collective agreements are long, counteroffers are common, and the best young graduates in tech and finance are pulled toward Milan or abroad. Large employers move slowly through their own approval chains, so an agency or a smaller company that moves fast has an edge, but only if it can spot the right people in the volume and run a clean process to offer.

How Pickr helps
What Rome teams get with Pickr
A scored shortlist in minutes, not days
Describe the role and Pickr finds and scores matching profiles from your own pool and beyond, with the reasoning behind every match. Related skills count, so a candidate who did the neighboring job with different vocabulary is not filtered out for lacking the exact keyword. Your recruiters stop reading a hundred CVs and start reviewing a sorted list.
Match reasoning you can explain
Every score comes with plain-language reasons and verified qualifications. In Rome that matters twice: to clients who want to know why a profile is on the list, and to HR directors, boards and selection committees at large employers who expect documented decisions. Every hire makes the next search for a similar role sharper, and the reasoning stays visible the whole way.
Structured interviews for every role
Pickr prepares tailored interview questions for each position, transcribes the conversation live and pre-fills the scorecards. Everyone runs the same interview, observations are captured while they are fresh, and the debrief takes minutes instead of a week of chasing. Interviewer and hiring-manager seats are free, so the department head joins the panel without a license discussion.
Client portals and automation for agencies
Clients, mandates and placements are built into Pickr from the start. Your clients review candidates in their own portal, vote and give feedback, free and with no user limit. Follow-ups, scheduling and feedback reminders run automatically, and email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn land in one inbox. Your consultants spend the day on the phone with candidates, not typing.
EU-hosted in Germany
Candidate data and the application itself run in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. Pickr is GDPR compliant, a data processing agreement (DPA) is included, and names and email addresses are redacted from AI prompts by default. Pickr is built in Austria by a founder who ran a recruitment agency himself and knows what a placement actually takes.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is Pickr available in Rome?
Yes. Pickr is a cloud application and is available to recruitment agencies and companies in Rome and across Italy today. There is nothing to install, your team works in the browser, and existing candidate data comes across by import. The interface is in English or German, candidate data can be in Italian or any other language, and demo and onboarding are held in English.
Where is candidate data stored?
Candidate data and the application run in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. Pickr is GDPR compliant, a data processing agreement (DPA) is part of the contract, and personal data such as names and email addresses are redacted from AI prompts by default. If you prefer, AI processing can run exclusively through a provider based in the EU.
Does Pickr work for recruitment agencies in Rome?
Yes. Pickr was built by a founder who ran a recruitment agency himself. Clients, mandates, submittals and placements are part of the system, not a workaround with tags and custom fields. Every client gets a portal where they review candidates and give feedback. Scored shortlists in minutes help most on mandates that Rome clients hand to several agencies in parallel, where the first good shortlist usually wins.
Which languages does Pickr support?
The interface is available in English and German. Candidate data can be in any language: Italian CVs, cover letters and interview notes are read, scored and searchable as they are, and your messages to candidates can stay in Italian. That fits Rome teams that work in English internally while recruiting in Italian, and international organizations that hire in both.
Can we bring our existing candidate data into Pickr?
Yes. Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever and Bullhorn import with one click, including jobs, candidates and pipeline history, and Teamtailor exports are recognized automatically. From any other system you bring candidates, jobs and history across by CSV. Past applications and your network become a searchable, scored pool from day one instead of gathering dust in an old system.
How much does Pickr cost for a team in Rome?
Pricing is available on request, most easily in a short demo with the founder. You pay for recruiter seats only. Interviewer, hiring-manager and client portal seats are free. AI scoring, interview intelligence and automation are included in every seat, with no separate add-on modules to negotiate.
