Dublin

Dublin companies and agencies trust Pickr for recruiting intelligence

Pickr gives recruitment agencies and in-house hiring teams in Dublin a scored shortlist in minutes, structured interviews with tailored questions, and match reasoning you can put in front of a client or a hiring manager.

Dublin is where global technology companies run Europe. The Docklands hold the European headquarters of many of the largest software, internet and social media firms, and their engineering, product, sales and support teams hire continuously. A short walk away, the IFSC and the wider financial district host banks, asset managers, fund administrators and the fintechs that grew up around them, joined by the firms that moved capacity from London after Brexit. Add pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers with plants across the greater Dublin area, the aircraft leasing industry that calls the city home, the Big Four and the law firms serving all of the above, and a scale-up scene that has produced its own share of exits.

That mix is what makes hiring in Dublin hard. Ireland is a small country, so the pool of experienced engineers, product managers, compliance specialists and multilingual customer professionals is finite, and everyone above is fishing in it with a global employer brand and a deep budget. Candidates in demand hold several conversations at once and decide within days. Much of the pipeline comes from abroad, which turns every senior search into a relocation conversation where housing is the standard objection. And the city is dense with recruitment agencies, so clients expect a well-argued shortlist quickly, not a folder of CVs a week later.

Market snapshot

Hiring in Dublin at a glance

Key sectors
Technology and internet platforms, financial services and fintech, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, aircraft leasing, professional services, and a growing base of Irish scale-ups.
Typical employers
European headquarters of US technology companies in the Docklands, banks and fund administrators at the IFSC, pharma and medtech manufacturers, Big Four and law firms, venture-backed Irish scale-ups, and the agencies that recruit for all of them.
Talent pool
Graduates of Trinity College Dublin, UCD, DCU and TU Dublin; a large international workforce drawn in by the multinationals; commuters from Kildare, Meath, Wicklow and Louth; senior specialists relocating from across the EU and beyond.
Languages of business
English throughout. Multilingual roles are a steady share of the market because Dublin hosts EMEA sales, support and shared-service hubs that hire in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and the Nordic languages.
Competition for talent
Global employer brands compete with scale-ups and agencies for the same engineering, product, sales, finance and compliance profiles. Strong candidates typically hold multiple offers and have little patience for slow processes.
Remote and relocation
Hybrid work is standard in technology and finance. Relocation from other EU countries is routine and housing is the usual sticking point. Many roles carry an EMEA remit and are worked across time zones.

How Pickr helps

What Dublin teams get with Pickr

A scored shortlist in minutes instead of days

Describe the role. Pickr finds and scores candidates from your own pool and beyond in minutes, with reasoning for every match. Related skills count, so a strong profile from a neighboring specialty is not dropped for missing the exact keyword. In Dublin, where the multinational two streets over is interviewing the same engineer this week, being first to the right people is the whole game.

Match reasoning you can explain to the client

Every score comes with reasoning in plain sentences: what fits, what is missing, what to probe in the interview. Agencies put it in front of the client, in-house teams put it in front of the hiring manager, and the conversation turns to requirements instead of gut feel. Every completed hire makes the next shortlist for that role sharper, so accuracy improves over time.

Structured interviews and a free client portal

Each role gets tailored interview questions, live transcription, and scorecards that write themselves. Your clients review candidates, vote and give feedback in their own portal, free with no user limit. Interviewer and hiring-manager seats are free as well, so the whole panel takes part without a licensing discussion.

Any candidate language, less admin

Dublin hires for all of EMEA, and Pickr works with candidate data in any language, so a German CV for a support hub is scored alongside an English one. Follow-ups, scheduling, rejections and status updates are drafted for you; you review and send. Email, calendar, Slack and WhatsApp land in one place, and you can connect Claude or ChatGPT via MCP to run the pipeline from a chat window. The afternoon goes back to candidates and clients.

EU-hosted in Germany

Candidate data and the application itself run in Frankfurt, Germany, inside the EU. Pickr is GDPR compliant, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is included, and names and email addresses are redacted from AI prompts by default. Built in Austria by a founder who ran a recruitment agency himself.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Pickr available in Dublin?

Yes. Pickr is a cloud application and is available to companies and recruitment agencies in Dublin and across Ireland with nothing to install. You, your clients and your interviewers work in the browser. Demo, onboarding and support are in English, pricing is on request, and your candidate data stays inside the EU the whole time.

Where is candidate data stored?

Candidate data and the application run in Frankfurt, Germany. Pickr is GDPR compliant, a Data Processing Agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is included, and personal data such as names and email addresses is redacted from AI prompts by default. If you want AI processing to stay inside the EU as well, that is a single setting. Because Ireland and Germany are both EU member states, your data never leaves the EU legal framework.

Does Pickr work for recruitment agencies in Dublin?

Yes. Pickr was built by a founder who ran a recruitment agency himself. Clients, mandates, submittals and placements are built into the system rather than bolted on with tags. You run several client pipelines side by side, your clients review candidates in a free portal, and every shortlist comes with reasoning you can hand to the client, whether you work on contingency, retained or a mix.

Which languages does Pickr support?

The interface is available in English and German. Candidate data works in any language: CVs, applications, notes and messages in French, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese or Mandarin are scored and searchable alongside English ones. That matters in Dublin, where EMEA sales, support and shared-service hubs hire multilingual teams continuously.

Can we import our existing ATS data?

Yes. One-click import from Bullhorn, Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, automatic recognition of Teamtailor exports, or a CSV from any other system. Past applications, talent pools and notes are searchable and scored from day one, so your first search on Pickr does not start from zero.

Is Pickr a fit for in-house hiring teams in Dublin?

Yes. In-house teams at multinational headquarters, scale-ups and financial firms use the same scored shortlist, structured interviews and automatic follow-ups. Hiring managers and interviewers join with free seats, feedback lands where the decision is made rather than in an email thread, and on hire the new starter can be pushed straight to Personio, BambooHR or HiBob.
